As the sole product designer, I partnered with the app owner to transform a rough concept into a fully realized on-demand dog walking app tailored for busy urban pet owners. Focusing on speed, trust, and transparency, I mapped out a streamlined information architecture and clear user flows to separate the essential booking paths from secondary features. By prioritizing a frictionless core booking journey, I ensured that users juggling tight schedules could effortlessly and confidently arrange last-minute care for their pets without unnecessary cognitive load. The resulting design system balances operational efficiency with emotional reassurance, utilizing a bold orange for quick actions alongside warm neutrals to convey a sense of reliability and friendliness. Through carefully crafted components, linear workflows like the "Instant Walk," and an onboarding experience grounded in authentic imagery, I created an approachable and highly functional interface. By making deliberate design tradeoffs that favored clarity and speed over extensive customization, I successfully delivered a scalable, trustworthy product fully prepped for development.
