Scope
Own the end-to-end UX for “Ai Build OS”, a cloud platform for robotic 3D printing in industrial manufacturing — taking it from strategy and ideation through to high-fidelity UI and launch — while building a visual language that makes a highly complex enterprise product clear to both users and C-level stakeholders.
Role
Lead Product Designer
Timeline
2020 – Present
The Problem
AiBuild's technology is powerful but highly complex — digital toolpaths, slicing modes, and finite-element analysis — which made it hard for users and non-technical stakeholders to grasp the product's value.
Approach
Visual Storytelling
For manufacturing software, it’s important to clearly show the impact of what the product enables. These visuals highlight how AiBuild’s software translates digital toolpaths into real, fabricated outcomes across additive manufacturing and milling. By pairing toolpaths with finished parts, we make complex processes easy to understand and visually connect the software to its physical results for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Product Capability Visuals
These visuals are designed to communicate high-level product capabilities in a way that feels clear, credible, and approachable for a marketing audience. By showcasing features such as the AI Agent and finite element analysis, the focus is on helping users quickly understand the value of the software without needing deep technical knowledge. The visuals translate advanced functionality into intuitive, easy-to-grasp narratives that highlight how the product supports smarter decision-making, performance optimisation, and confidence in manufacturing outcomes.

Visualising Complex Settings for Product Usability
These visuals focus on making complex product settings more intuitive by zooming directly into the user interface and pairing technical options with clear visual diagrams. I designed the diagrams that live both in product marketing materials and inside the software itself, helping users understand advanced features such as infill strategies and slicing modes at a glance. By visually explaining how each setting behaves and affects the final output, the goal is to reduce cognitive load, support learning, and make a highly technical tool feel more approachable and user-centred.

Solution
Across product, marketing, and in-app experiences, my work at AiBuild focuses on using visual design to make highly complex systems clear, intuitive, and accessible. From high-level storytelling to detailed interface diagrams, the goal is always the same: reduce complexity, support understanding, and create a cohesive visual language that helps users and stakeholders confidently engage with the product.
